Spielberg was in for another treat after the medals were presented – the theme from his movie E.T. The Extra Terrestrial was played as Obama congratulated each recipient.

Judy Garland’s Dorothy dress worn in The Wizard Of Oz sold at auction for more than $1.5 million in just three minutes this week.  The dress was made just for Judy Garland for the 1939 movie. It was sold to an unidentified buyer bidding by telephone. It’s not the most expensive piece of clothing to sell at auction. Currently holding the record is the iconic ‘Subway Dress’ worn by Marilyn Monroe which sold in 2011 for $5.6 Million dollars.
