Disney Is First Major Studio To Pause Movie Releases In Russia

Hollywood entertainment companies say that they are pausing the release of films in Russia in response to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
Warner Bros, Sony Pictures and The Walt Disney Company all announced the Decisions on Monday.

This includes ‘The Batman’ which is scheduled for release this week.
Turning Red and Morbius will now not go ahead as scheduled in Russia also. This move comes as governments around the world have been ramping up their sanctions against Moscow.
Disney is also promising to provide urgent aid and other humanitarian assistance to refugees to Ukrainians that have been forced to flee to neighbouring countries.
