A STUDY FOUND YOUR DOG’S BREED DOESN’T AFFECT ITS PERSONALITY

So it's not because they are part Poodle?

We tend to think different dog breeds have certain personalities.  But a new study found that might NOT be true.  If your dog is nuts, don’t blame it on the TYPE of dog they are.

Researchers looked at the genes of more than 2,000 K-9s and talked to 18,000 dog owners.  And they found that all sorts of personality traits exist across all different breeds.  “At the end of the day, every dog is an individual.”

That doesn’t mean none of their traits are inherited.  Things like howling or barking too much CAN be passed down.  But it has more to do with whether their mom or dad was a barker and less to do with their breed itself.
