Dua Lipa Responds After Fireworks Are Set Off During Her Toronto Concert

During a time when people are already on edge, this was a stupid move!

Dua Lipa brought her ‘Future Nostalgia’ tour to Toronto on Wednesday (July 27), and a series of fireworks were set off, resulting in three concertgoers ‘suffering minor injuries.’

The fireworks are seen exploding on the floor of the arena, where fans began running away from the scene.

In a statement which was posted to Instagram, Dua says, “Last night, unauthorized fireworks went off in the crowd during my set in Toronto.  Creating a safe and inclusive space at my shows is always my top priority, and my team and I are just as shocked and confused by the events as you all are.  Bringing this show to life for my fans has been such an amazing experience, and I’m so deeply sorry for anyone who was scared, felt unsafe or whose enjoyment of the show was affected in any way.”

According to CityNews, “Police confirm there was no property damage.  No suspects have been identified.  Investigators are working with security at the arena to view video surveillance and anyone with information is asked to contact police.”
