Residents of Fort McMurray will receive emergency funds within the next two days, thanks to Canadians pulling together to raise $67 million dollars. The Canadian Red Cross said today emergency funds of $600 per adult and $300 per child will be transferred electronically within the next 24 to 48 hours, to individuals who had already registered. More than 80,000 evacuees have already registered with the Red Cross. The $67 million raised is expected to grow through matching funds by the federal government.
