A Guy Broke into a Woman's Home... and Did All Her Chores!
In one of the more unusual break-ins you’ll hear about, a 36-year-old man in Wales broke into a woman’s home and instead of stealing anything, did her chores. Yes, you read that right!
The Unexpected Housekeeper
This bizarre incident happened in mid-July, but the trial wrapped up just this week. The woman wasn’t home at the time—she was at work—when the man entered her house.
Instead of causing havoc, he got to work: hanging laundry out to dry, putting away groceries, emptying recycling bins, tidying up her garden, and even refilling her bird feeders. But he didn’t stop there.
He organized her fridge, mopped the floors, cooked dinner, and left a bottle of wine along with a note that said, “Don’t worry, be happy, eat up.” Then, he simply left.
Not Exactly a Welcome Surprise
Understandably, when the woman returned home, she was terrified. She thought she was being stalked. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case. It turns out the man was homeless and dealing with some personal struggles at the time.
The woman stayed with a friend for two weeks after the incident while the police tracked him down. He was eventually arrested after breaking into another vacant home—although he didn’t have time to do any chores before being caught and kicked out.
