OREO AND KFC HAVE TEAMED UP... AND THE INTERNET THINKS SCIENCE HAS GONE TOO FAR πŸ—πŸͺ

Published August 10, 2026

Just when you thought Oreo had exhausted every possible flavour combination, the cookie giant has looked the world squarely in the eye and said, "What if dessert tasted like fried chicken?"

That's right. Oreo has unveiled a new collaboration with KFC that features its classic chocolate cookies stuffed with chicken-flavoured cream filling.

Read that sentence again. Slowly.

The special-edition cookies even feature custom embossing, replacing the traditional Oreo logo with KFC branding, because apparently someone in a boardroom said, "Let's really commit to the chaos."

The internet's reaction has been swift and, frankly, concerned.

Because let's be honest: fried chicken is already doing an excellent job of being fried chicken. Oreos are thriving as Oreos. Not every food needs to participate in a crossover episode.

It's like somebody looked at a bucket of chicken and a package of cookies and thought, "You know what these two things need? Each other."

Thankfully for Canadians and Americans, these cookies don't appear to be heading to North America anytime soon.

And maybe that's for the best.

Some international snack experiments are meant to stay exactly where they are, like pickle-flavoured ice cream, shrimp chips and whatever unholy creation inspired this particular collaboration.

Of course, if history has taught us anything, it's that people will still buy them just to answer the question: "How bad could they possibly be?"

Then, moments later, they'll be sitting in their car in the grocery-store parking lot wondering why they voluntarily ate a chicken-flavoured Oreo.

At this point, we're just one step away from ketchup-filled Pop-Tarts and gravy-flavoured Skittles. πŸŽ™οΈπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦
