Parasite Was The Big Winner At The 92nd Annual Academy Awards!
Here are some highlights!
The South Korean satire made history winning Best Picture on Sunday night-this is the first non English movie to ever win the top trophy at the Oscars. Parasite took home four Oscars include best director and best screen play.
Other big winner’s for the night included Joaquin Phoenix taking home best actor for his role in “Joker.”
Renee Zellweger won Best Actress for her performance as Judy Garland in “Judy.”
Brad Pitt won best supporting actor for “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.”
Laura Dern took the supporting actress Oscar, her first Academy Award, for playing a ruthless divorce lawyer in “Marriage Story.”
And 1917 won three Oscars mainly for cinematography and visual effects.
BIG SURPRISE OF THE NIGHT
Eminem shocked the audience and viewers at home when he took the stage at the Oscars…. It’s been 20 years since Eminem became the first rapper to win and Oscar for Best Original Song- which was the title track from his semi-autobiographical movie- 8 Mile. He came out after the academy ran a montage of movie clips celebrating the best songs to come from movies…
