The Great Shower Confession: A Quarter of Adults Pee in the Shower

🚿 Be honest—have you ever peed in the shower? If so, you’re not alone. A new study found that 25% of adults admit to doing it—with 12% doing so daily and another 12% a few times a week.
Millennials are the biggest culprits, with 25% making it a daily habit, compared to just 13% of Gen X and a mere 6% of baby boomers. Gender-wise, 30% of men admit to regularly peeing in the shower, while 20% of women do the same.
🧠 Why are so many people doing this? According to psychologists, it’s often about efficiency—a way to multitask and rebel against societal norms. Plus, the shower is one of the few places we get to be alone with our thoughts, so if peeing in there brings a little sense of freedom… why not?

What Else Are We Doing in the Shower?
Beyond a cheeky tinkle, showers are a hotspot for deep thoughts, life reflections, and even tears. The study found:
đź’ 1 in 4 millennials thinks about work or cries in the shower.
🎤 Singing, planning for the day ahead, and reliving awkward moments are all common shower activities.
⏳ Millennials believe showers should last 17 minutes—longer than the recommended 13 minutes, probably to fit in all the multitasking.
And here’s a slightly unsettling fact: while many people are using the shower daily, they’re not exactly cleaning it that often. On average, people only scrub their showers nine times a year. 🤢
So, next time you step in, just remember—you’re probably not the only one who's peed in there.
