Canadian country-pop legend Shania Twain has been announced as the parade marshal for the 2025 Calgary Stampede Parade, kicking off the event on Friday, July 4.
In a video message shared Wednesday, Twain expressed her excitement:
"The Calgary Stampede is an amazing celebration of western heritage and culture. It embodies the true spirit of Calgarians and Canadians. I can’t wait to see you on Friday, July 4!"

Hailing from Windsor, Ontario, Twain is the top-selling female country pop artist of all time, with over 100 million albums sold worldwide across her six-album career.
The 2025 Calgary Stampede runs from July 4 to July 13, promising another epic year of rodeo action, concerts, and cowboy culture.
