TAYLOR SWIFT ENDS ELLA LANGLEY'S RECORD-BREAKING HOT 100 STREAK 🎶

Published October 7, 2026

After an incredible 24 weeks at number one, Ella Langley's “Choosin' Texas” has finally been knocked off the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

And naturally, Taylor Swift did it.

Swift's new song “Patient Zero” has debuted at number one, pushing Langley down to number two.

But Taylor didn't stop there.

Her other new songs “Cleveland!,” “Babylon” and “Pink Clouding” grabbed the next three spots, meaning Taylor Swift currently owns four of the Top 5 songs in America.

Because apparently leaving one spot for somebody else is Taylor's version of sharing.

“Patient Zero” becomes Swift's 16th number-one song, putting her third on the all-time list behind:

The Beatles: 20
Mariah Carey: 19
Taylor Swift: 16

Meanwhile, Ella Langley has absolutely nothing to feel bad about.

“Choosin' Texas” spent a whopping 24 weeks at number one, even surpassing Mariah Carey's “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which has accumulated 22 weeks at the top.

So Ella had one of the biggest chart runs ever.

And then Taylor Swift showed up and basically said: “That's adorable. I'll take it from here.”
