If you’re planning a trip this year and safety is a top concern, a new report from Numbeo reveals which countries offer the most and least security for travellers.

The Safest Countries in 2025

Taking the top spot is Andorra, a tiny European country nestled between Spain and France, scoring 84.7 on the safety index. Other high-ranking destinations include wealthy Gulf states, East Asian nations, and lesser-known safe-havens.

The World’s Most Dangerous Countries

At the opposite end of the spectrum, Venezuela ranks as the most dangerous country with a score of 19.3, followed by Papua New Guinea and Haiti.

🇨🇦 Canada fared a bit better at 54.29, but still didn’t crack the safest countries list.
