Scientists Observing ‘Strange’ Star For Signs Of Life
May have highly advanced civilization
Scientists are using one of the largest telescopes on the planet to observe a “very strange star” for signs of intelligent extraterrestrial life. Tabby’s Star – named for Tabetha Boyajian, a physics and astronomy professor at Louisiana State University who first reported the bizarre phenomenon around the star in September 2015 – has attracted the attention of scientists over the past year. It’s of its irregular dimming has researchers thinking it may host a “highly advanced civilization capable of building orbiting megastructures to capture the star’s energy,”
