Ottawa To Introduce Pot Legalization Legislation By Next Spring
Feds Mark 4/20 By Making Announcement At UN Headquarters
The feds say they’ll start the process of making pot legal and regulated by next spring. That’s according to Federal Health Minister Jane Philpott, who made the announcement at the United Nations, called this move the best way to protect youth, while enhancing public safety. “As a doctor, who has worked both in Canada and sub-Saharan Africa, I have seen too many people suffer the devastating consequences of drugs, drug-related crime and ill-conceived drug policy. Fortunately, solutions are within our grasp.” The United Nations General Assembly is holding a special session on global drug policy.
