“Koolest” Summer Anthems of All Time??? Here are Dale’s Picks

Be listening this weekend as we count down the "Koolest" songs of summer

This Labour Day long weekend we are counting down the “Koolest” songs of summer, and they asked me to share my all-time Top 3 favourites.

As always, with music, there’s gotta be some kind of memory attached to it.  I don’t have good memories of “Walking On Sunshine,” sorry.

“You Can Call Me Al” by Paul Simon (1987)

This song was a huge hit in Thunder Bay… Where I had my first summer job in radio!

“Unbelievable” by EMF (1991)

This song brings me back to my first summer on the radio in Toronto.  Partytime!

“Why Can’t This Be Love” by Van Halen (1986)

This was Van Halen’s first album with Sammy Hagar, and it was constantly on my stereo through that whole summer.

Ahh… memories! Which are your favourite summer songs of all time?
