SIU Invokes Mandate

The arrest of a 54 year old man in Alliston by the Nottawasaga OPP has led to the Special Investigations Unit to Invoke its mandate after the man went into medical distress. Officers had responded to a call of a man slumped at the wheel. Shortly after an arrest the man went into medical distress and was taken to a local hospital. The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been notified and has invoked its mandate. As a result, the OPP will not be able to provide any further information.
