Orillia Chooses local Firm For Port Of Orillia Redevelopment
Expected to be 'calling card' for waterfront
The new Port of Orillia building will be built by local contractor Bradanick Construction Services at a cost of $1.997 million. City Council made the call Monday night. Mayor Steve Clarke says the firm delivered a progressive vision for the project, one that will serve as a calling card for Orillia’s waterfront for decades to come. Bradanick says it’s looking to create a destination for visitors and residents that will help revitalize the downtown. Work expected to begin this fall and be completed in time for the 2017 boating season. The original building was destroyed by fire in 2014.
