Live-Action Sequel to Disney’s Aladdin in the Works

Not based on the straight-to-VHS animated sequels

According to Variety, a sequel to the live-action version of Disney’s Aladdin is happening.

Apparently, after 6 months of discussing ‘where to take the film’, with numerous pitches from different writers, the producers have figured out what they want to do for the sequel to the 2019 live-action remake of the 1992 animated classic.

The original producers are on board and they hope to have the same cast, including Canada’s Mena Massoud, who stared as Aladdin.

The sequel will not be a straight-to-VHS…. erm… straight-to-Disney+ release but rather, will come to theatres. At least, that’s the plan.
